Wondering What New Lighting Fixture Installation Costs are in North Florida? Serv-All Electrical Will Make Sure You Know before we begin! Having the right type of lighting installed in your home can have a major impact on how different spaces in your home feel. A proper lighting setup combines different kinds of light fixtures to create a calm & welcoming space. Serv-All Electrical will ensure you'll feel comfortable in your home, that's why we're experts in the 3 basic types of lighting: GENERAL AMBIENT LIGHTING, ACCENT LIGHTING, and TASK LIGHTING.

General Ambient Lighting

Installing ambient lighting fixtures will create an overall glow for a room, enough light to see & move, and set a tone for the room. Ambient light examples include installing recessed pot lights, track lights, ceiling lamps/chandeliers, and other stand-alone fixtures like floor & table lamps. General or ambient lighting is intended to light up a room in its entirety. It provides a uniform level of illumination throughout the space independently of other lighting sources.

Accent Lighting

Accent lighting is used mainly to focus on a specific point of interest or to achieve a desired effect. This type of lighting gives the impression of a larger room. It is more frequently used to highlight an architectural feature, a plant (in outdoor layout), a sculpture, or a collection of objects. It builds upon ambient lighting fixtures to create dimension & draws attention to things like artwork or a unique design element. Popular light fixtures to install that accomplish accent are wall-mounted picture-lights & sconces, which can be angled & directed to create a spotlight.

Task Lighting

Task lighting is perfect for a study or workspace where you need a localized light that can be dimmed or brightened for the task at hand. A task light install should reduce glare & be bright enough to reduce eye strain. Be mindful of the activity or work you need it for when choosing a task light fixture to install, as different tasks, from reading to cooking, require different lighting needs. Installing recessed or track light fixtures can accomplish this, but most commonly a desk or task lamp is installed.

No matter your lighting needs, Serv-All electricians will help you determine your indoor & outdoor lighting needs and give you expert advice on your lighting installation before any work is done, so you'll know exactly what solution is best for your home's indoor & outdoor lighting setup.

Fan Insatallation

What Type of Ceiling Fan is Best for Your North Florida Home?

There are many factors that determine which ceiling fan is best for your home, and ultimately, how much installing your chosen ceiling fan will cost. You can rely on Serv-All Electrical to cover all of these factors in our ceiling fan installation evaluation. In the meantime, you can start to get an idea of what fan would work best for you from the 4 most common residential ceiling fan types available:

STANDARD CEILING FAN

Typically with 5 blades and a built-in light feature, a standard ceiling fan comes in a variety of styles that can fit any decor & functionality within your living space. It's not uncommon that these ceiling fans include additional accessories such as remote-control operation, customizable blades, and assorted light kits.

OUTDOOR CEILING FANS

These ceilings fans offer protection from the harsh North Florida elements with moisture & humidity proofing to resist warping. Have a Serv-All Electrician install a damp ceiling fan in a minimally exposed, preferably covered, area such as a sunroom or porch. A wet ceiling fan can be installed essentially anywhere, as they can handle just about any weather condition; rain, shine or a hot breezy Florida afternoon.

LOW PROFILE

If your home has a low clearance of 8 ft or less, a low profile ceiling fan installation is a perfect fit. These ceilings fans are installed directly to the mounting bracket, keeping the fan at the required 7 ft off the floor. Call Serv-All Electrical today to see if a low profile ceiling fan is right for you!

DUAL MOTOR CEILING FAN

A dual motor ceiling fan is generally found in large rooms or public settings, as they circulate air over a much greater area than your standard ceiling fan. These fans are installed with an adjustable fan that can each be set at its own speed, thanks to a central motor equipped with two horizontal rods.
